Korean: (너의 목소리가 들려)
I Hear Your Voice is a drama currently airing on SBS about three quite interesting characters and their quest to prove those considered “guilty” as innocent.
According to it’s DramaWiki, this drama is considered a “Romance, Fantasy, Comedy, Thriller, Crime, and Mystery”. It was written by one of the writers of “Dream High”, but has a much darker undertone than that of Dream High.
So many categories, does this drama actually fit each one?
Here’s the deal, it could…. but I guess it takes some getting used to. But I’m sure they can pull it together.
Lee Bo Young plays Jang Hye Sung, a bold, sassy, and blunt lawyer. She doesn’t really have manners, but Lee Bo Young still plays her in a super charming way.
Yoon Sang Hyun plays Cha Kwan Woo, who’s an ex-police officer who is now a lawyer for the government. He’s extremely masculine and very serious. (Yummy.)
Lee Jong Suk plays Park Soo Ha, a 19 year old boy who can read people’s minds.
So together, this strange trio tries to solve crimes that have little to no chance of acquitting the accused. But of course, in Korean Drama fashion, these crimes do get solved. In some way.
I can see where this drama fits into the crime, thriller, and mystery categories. Comedy, I’m sure they’ll crack a couple jokes. And then there’s the fantasy aspect with Lee Jong Suk having a superpower and all… Romance? Hm, I wonder who falls in love.
But still, the fact that it spans so many different categories makes me a bit nervous about this whole deal. How is it possible to fit every single category without making the whole drama seem kind of messy and out of place?
According to current viewers, this drama is extremely captivating. You can watch it online at DramaFever, for free!
